Six ingredients have gone into the creation and continuing development of this web site.

First, we leased the "hancy.us" domain from GoDaddy.com.  The lease is good until April 22, 2014.

Second, we leased Web services from Brinkster.com. After doing some research on the internet, we chose Brinkster -- mainly because of its low prices, but also because of its support for Microsoft FrontPage and Microsoft Access.

Third, we purchased a Web design software program -- Microsoft FrontPage 2003. It's 100 percent compatible with Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser -- currently the most widely used Web browser. We use FrontPage's "Blends" theme throughout the whole site. SharePoint has since replaced FrontPage as Microsoft's Web design program of choice, but as long as FrontPage continues to serve our needs and Brinkster continues to support FrontPage server extensions, we'll continue to maintain this Web site with FrontPage. 

To help us defray the costs of the first three investments, we've hooked up with some sponsors. You'll see links to their affiliate and referral programs on the bottom and sides of most pages in this Web site. The hope is that at some point we'll make enough money from these links to increase our allotted storage space and Web services. 

We've invested a lot of time and effort in this Web site. It continues to take a lot of both to keep the site up-to-date (an impossible task), but it's a labor of love. We do it for Tia -- so that she and her future children will always know how much we love her and how much we'll miss her when someday she marries Prince Charming and goes off to start her own family. And you don't need to remind us -- we know all too well that that day is just around the corner.
