Tia's First Thanksgiving

Thursday (Thanksgiving)...I had a great day today!  Daddy gave me my early bottle around 5:00 this morning and then put me back to sleep.  Daddy got me up again around 8:00, and we watched a football game on TV together on the living room floor for about an hour until Mommy gave me my bath.  Mommy and Daddy kept making a big fuss about this being my first Thanksgiving.

After my bath, Daddy went out for a while.  He brought back a big Thanksgiving dinner from the Hickam NCO Club and a big sushi tray from Ranch 99.  Daddy said he brought back some Thanksgiving milk, too, but I think he was spoofing me -- my milk didn't taste any different today than it did on any other day.

Around noon, Daddy took me outside for a walk in the sunshine.  We met Uncle Ferdie Domingo by the parking garage.  I really like Uncle Ferdie -- he picked me up and held me, and we smiled and laughed together.  He wished me a Happy Thanksgiving, too.  Daddy picked me up, himself, when we rounded the pool and carried me all the way back home.  I like the view so much better from up high.

Soon Auntie Kristi came over to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with us.  Daddy ate turkey and dressing and cranberries and pumpkin pie while Mommy and Auntie Kristi ate sushi.  They ate a little bit of Daddy's dinner, too.  They ate all afternoon long and into the night.  I drank some milk sometimes, but most of the time I just played with everybody.

Finally Auntie Kristi had to go home, and I had to go to bed.  I was too excited to go willingly, though.  After crying spells thwarted Daddy's first two attempts to get me to fall asleep in my crib, he's now resorted to marching me around the house in my stroller, singing Mary Poppins' "Stay Awake" to me.  I'm finally getting sleepy.  Goodnight, everybody...Love, Tia
