Tia Playing with Her Friends Jennifer, Kate, Michelle, and Kellie at Mu Ryang Sa Temple

Mommy and Daddy and I went to Mu Ryang Sa Temple in Palolo Valley this morning.  While Mommy attended the service and Korean Women’s Association meeting that followed, Daddy took me exploring.  I met a lot of my old friends like Jennifer, Sahn, Noland, Shawn, Shelley, and Auntie Kiki, and I met some new friends, too – Kate, Michelle, Kelly, Auntie Hun Kim, and her son, Andrew.  I had a great time playing with them and watching them play with each other.  It was hard work, though – I needed two bottle breaks and a nap break.  After Mommy’s service and meeting were over, Mommy and Daddy and I went to the Temple dining room.  I played with some nice Halmonis (Grammas) and some paper chopstick wrappers while Mommy and Daddy ate lunch.

Then we went to the barber shop at Ranch 99 so Daddy could get his hair cut for his big “Wheel of Fortune” audition Wednesday.  I was a big hit at the barber shop – I gave everybody a big smile.

When we came back home, I jabbered and played with my toys on the floor.  Aunt Laura heard me say “Mom-Mom-Mom,” even though she’s way over in Morton, Washington.  Then Daddy put the phone up to my ear so I could hear Aunt Laura tell me how proud she was of me.

I spent the rest of the evening roaming around the floor.  I can get where I want to go, laterally, really easy – just by rolling.  I have a hard time advancing or going backwards, though, because I haven’t figured out how to crawl or scoot yet.  One time when I wanted to get a ball of aluminum foil that was just out of reach, I grabbed my teething ring and used it as a hook to hit the ball with.  The ball didn’t go where I wanted to, but Daddy was impressed that I could figure out how to extend my reach like that.

Later, when Mommy was playing with me, she sat me up on the floor all by myself.  I supported myself for stretches as long as 30 seconds sometimes, but I eventually always fell backwards or to one side or another into Mommy’s arms.  I didn’t really recognize the fact that I was sitting up all by myself, but Mommy and Daddy did -- and they were very proud of me.  Now it’s time for sweet dreams.  I had a wonderful day, today.  Goodnight, everybody … Love, Tia
