Jim, Tia, and Jennah Trick-or-Treating in the Apartment Building Lobby

Wednesday (Halloween)...I had fun playing with Mommy and my toys all morning while Daddy was at work.  In the afternoon, Mommy finished making my pumpkin costume and dressed me up in it – I cried for ten minutes because I didn’t want to wear it.  After I calmed down, we drove to the Airport Industrial Park.  Daddy came over and met us and took me back inside Hawaii Information Transfer Service (HITS) with him.  I enjoyed meeting my friends – Cheryl Loucks, Linda Pruec, Lynn Nabarro, Pat Balmores, Jolinda Larsen-Fung, Martina Mueller, Liz Hatori, DeAnna Tom, Brenda Viloria, Debbie Andrade, and Ethel Jones.  I was a little wary of Auntie Cheryl – she was dressed up as Gainan (from Star Trek).  Everybody loved my costume, though, and Auntie Brenda and Auntie Pat gave me my first trick-or-treat candy of the evening.

After we left HITS, Mommy and Daddy and I drove back to Country Club Village, where I got some more trick-or-treat candy in the lobby from Auntie Judy and Uncle Art Von Ploennies and Auntie Linda Urner.  I met Auntie Janine, Uncle Michael, and little Jennah Waynant there, too.  Jennah was dressed up as a pink angel – she was cute.

Then Mommy and Daddy and I went trick-or-treating at Kahala Mall.  I left the candy collecting to Mommy and Daddy while I walked around, looking at all of the kids in their strange costumes.  Some of the adults looked pretty strange, too.

After we drove back home, I played with Mommy and Daddy and my toys for the rest of the evening.  I fell asleep on the living room floor while Mommy and Daddy were watching a tape of today’s World Series game.  Mommy was sad because the Yankees tied the game with a two-run homer by Tino Martinez with two outs in the bottom of the ninth and then won it with a homer by Derek Jeter in the tenth – both off of Byoung-Hyun Kim, the first Korean-born player to ever appear in the World Series.  I’ll try to cheer her up tomorrow.  Goodnight, everybody…Love, Tia
