Mokauea Island

Sunday...Mommy and Daddy and I drove to Mu Ryang Sa Temple in Palolo Valley this morning.  While Mommy attended service, Daddy and I had fun exploring and playing.  I pushed my baby doll in her stroller all the way up the driveway all by myself for the first time today.  Daddy and I played around the fish pond, hiked up to the second floor of the Main Hall and back, and played in the Chapel.  Then we went down to the garage and played in the mini-bus for awhile.  When three little boys came to the garage, I had fun playing with them, too.

After the service was over, Mommy and Daddy and I drove to Sand Island.  Soon Auntie Kiki and Kellie Oh arrived, too.  Uncle Andrew (Michelle-Appa’s friend) and Kevin and Michelle Chun came and picked us up in a boat and took us to a house on Mokauea Island that belonged to Haraboji Ike and Uncle Ike – friends of Uncle Brian and Mr Chun (Michelle’s Daddy).  I’d never seen a house like this before – it had water in the front yard.  Soon some more people came, too – Daniel and Iris and Mrs Kim, and Shawn and Scott and Uncle Brian.

I had a lot of fun playing here while everybody took turns water skiing and boogey-board skiing with Uncle Andrew and jet skiing with Mr Chun.  I played with two doggies and a turtle in an aquarium, and I watched crabs walk around on the coral under the house.  I also played with my Aunties and pushed my baby doll in her stroller back and forth across the front deck, the house, and the back deck.  Mommy and Daddy had to watch me closely all the time to make sure I didn’t fall off the decks.

When it was time to leave, we piled back into the boat, and Uncle Andrew took us back to Sand Island again.  On the way home, Mommy and Daddy and I stopped off at the Pearl Harbor Exchange.  I had fun running around the Video Shop, collecting and rearranging cartoon videocassettes.

Finally we arrived at home, sweet home.  I played with my toys for awhile and then fell asleep on the mattress in the living room.  Now Daddy’s picking me up and putting me in my crib.  I think I’m going to have sweet dreams tonight.  Goodnight, everybody…Love, Tia
