Ready for the Great Aloha Run Monday (Presidents Day)...Mommy and Daddy and I got up really early this morning. We got our running gear on and drove over to Aloha Stadium. We parked the car there and hopped on a big tour bus that took us downtown. We walked over to Bishop Square where the Stroller Club was meeting. I had fun playing games with Mommy and Daddy and a bunch of other little kids. When it came close to the starting time, Mommy and Daddy and I walked over to Nimitz Highway, across from the Aloha Tower. There were so many people there! Soon after the sun came out, we started the race. Daddy pushed me in my stroller almost the whole way. I had fun watching the adults around us walking and running and the kids riding in their strollers. A couple times, Daddy let me get out and run with him, too – that was fun! I was asleep when we crossed the finish line at Aloha Stadium three hours later. (The course was 8.15 miles long.) Mommy and Daddy and I drove back home, where Mommy and Daddy spent the rest of the day recuperating, and I spent the rest of the day playing…Love, Tia Updated Friday, September 04, 2009. |
